Did you know that most, if not all of the products we own are made outside of the US? This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it is problematic when we don’t know the source of our goods. It becomes especially problematic when we don’t know the conditions of the work environment where our goods are produced.
Daisy & Elizabeth (D&E) want their brand to be focused on the diverse tapestry of America-based production to help illuminate working conditions and create transparency around how goods are made. That’s how they decided to create access to clothing, accessories, and home goods that are handmade and homegrown in the USA!
“The girls, both born and bred below the Mason-Dixon, constantly draw inspiration from their diverse backgrounds; Daisy being a first-generation American to immigrant parents and Elizabeth, a small town girl who can trace her lineage back for generations in the states. The girls' distinct upbringings help to influence and create a lifestyle brand infused with large doses of Americana, femininity, and free-spirit.”
The Daisy & Elizabeth storefront resides in Wild West Williamsburg, Brooklyn and as they’ve grown they have moved online and created pop-up shops as well. D&E collaborates with designers throughout America to create innovative and fun designs that all come back to being made by American women for women around the globe.
